DAY 1 Arrival - Transfer from the airport - Excursion: Echmiadzin (St. Hripsime, St. Gayane, Cathedral, treasury museum), Zvartnots During your trip to Armenia, you will certainly be interested to see the world's first Christian cathedral. Echmiadzin is the spiritual center of Armenians all over the world! The word itself means “the place where the only begotten Son of God descended”, visits to the Church of St. Hripsime, Gayane. The excursion includes a stop in Zvartnots - another beautiful temple of the 7th century, which is included in the UNESCO heritage list. We will also visit the Art Center “ Machanents Tun ", which is the hallmark of cultural tourism in Etchmiadzin. In the Art Center we can take part in different master classes. Lunch. Welcome dinner at the restaurant, Yerevan Overnight in Yerevan DAY 2 Excursion: Garni, Geghard, Arch of Charents - Symphony of Stones - master class on baking national bread "Lavash" After breakfast at the hotel we will go to Garni. The first stop is Garni Temple (77 AD) - the only pagan temple in the entire post-Soviet territory. The temple stands on a high plateau overlooking the incredibly beautiful gorge of the Azat River. The Geghard Monastery Complex is another historical site included in the tour. Saint Geghard symbolizes the spear with which the Roman centurion pierced Jesus after the crucifixion, and then the same spear was brought to Armenia and kept in the Geghard monastery for 5 centuries. We will also visit the Symphony of Stones. Not far from the Garni temple, we will visit a cozy local restaurant with amazing cuisine and live Arnian music. Here you will not only rest and relax, but also take part in a master class in baking lavash - traditional Armenian bread, and of course you can taste this freshly baked lavash. Arrival at the hotel. Overnight in Yerevan DAY 3 Excursion: Khor Virap - Noravank - Jermuk After breakfast we will start the journey. The first stop is the legendary Khor Virap monastery, from where the history of the spread of Christianity in Armenia began. In clear weather, a picturesque view of Ararat opens from here. Visit to the Noravank monastery complex, built in the 13-14 centuries and surrounded by mystical red rocks. Noravank was the spiritual center of medieval Syunik and is considered one of the best examples of Armenian architecture. In 2002 it was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Return to Yerevan. Then we will go to Jermuk, where the Jermuk waterfall, mineral springs, and Kechuta reservoir are located. After walking around the city, we will go on all-terrain vehicles to the hot healing springs. Arrival to Yerevan. Overnight in Yerevan DAY 4 Excursion: Saghmosavank - Ohanavank - Alley of Letters On this day, we will start our excursion around Armenia with a visit to the Saghmosavank monastery (XII-XIII centuries). Located on the right bank of the picturesque gorge of the Kasakh River, opposite Mount Arailer (2600 m.). The monastery provides an opportunity to experience all the power and antiquity of Armenian architecture. Hovhannavank is a medieval Armenian monastery located in Armenia, in the village of Ohanavan (Aragatsotn region). The southern wall of the temple and a high dome on a twelve-sided drum were destroyed in 1919 during a strong earthquake. In 1970-1990, a major reconstruction was carried out, during which these elements of the church were restored. Also, to this day, the remains of the fortress walls with towers of the XII-XIII centuries and ancient gravestones have been preserved. Stop near the Alley of Letters.
